Minnesota Adult Abuse Reporting Center (MAARC) Refuses to Support or Investigate
Mandated Reporters Multiple Failures to Report Abuse to MAARC
MAARC’s Refusal to Help
Mandated Reporters Fail to Report Abuse as Required by Law
This report documents the failure of mandated reporters and MAARC to initiate protective action following credible reports of abuse and financial exploitation of a vulnerable adult.
Despite multiple calls and submissions, no investigation was considered until months after the incident, directly violating statutory duties under Minn. Stat. § 626.557 and § 256M.60.
The report analyzes response times, documentation omissions, harassment of one reporter by a MAARC investigator, and failure to provide follow-up services, support, and investigation.
